The mission of Helping Hands for Independent Living Foundation is to provide financial aid and support to individuals with developmental/intellectual differences or autism spectrum disorder, as they navigate their journey towards independence.

Our foundation strives to work collaboratively with agency partners to create a community where individuals can thrive in their pursuit of friendships, community engagement, educational opportunities, and vocational pursuits, by offering scholarships and removing financial barriers to participation. We believe that everyone deserves the chance to lead a vibrant and meaningful life, enriched by connections, a sense of community, a clear purpose, and opportunities for continued growth; all of which are essential for a fulfilling existence.

Thankfully, we live in an era that recognizes the value of supporting individuals within their own communities, where they can aspire to lead full, meaningful, and joyful lives. As community members, it’s our responsibility to offer support, assistance, and encouragement in every possible way to help each person achieve their fullest potential.

“Never doubt that a small group of thoughtful, committed individuals can change the world. In fact, it’s the only thing that ever has”

Margaret Mead
